Firstbase Alternative: A Delaware LLC With the Agent Included

Our package pairs formation with twelve months of agent service, an EIN obtained without an SSN, and a prepared bank application, for $399 plus Delaware's $110. Afterward the agent is $99/yr.

Delaware cityscape

Founders worldwide use Firstbase to form in Delaware or Wyoming, and its headline is a $99 formation price. For a Delaware LLC, that price is only part of the bill, because Delaware requires a registered agent and Firstbase sells its agent separately. Here's the Non-US Founder Package beside Firstbase with every required piece counted. The package is ours, so we're a competitor in this comparison.

Firstbase at its best

  • A clear tax product for non-US owners. $899 a year for single-member LLCs covers Form 5472, the pro forma 1120, 1099s, and an extension.
  • Mercury access, named by Firstbase on its Start page.
  • EIN without an SSN or ITIN, according to Firstbase.
  • Room to grow. Mailroom from $35 a month, an accounting product, and Firstbase One at $2,388 a year bundling mailroom, agent, accounting, and tax filing.
  • Delaware or Wyoming, as an LLC or a C-corp.

First-year math in Delaware

Start at $99, plus the $299 agent Firstbase says you need, plus Delaware's $110: $508. The package plus Delaware's fee: $509. Year one is a wash.

From year two, the agent line is $299 with Firstbase and $99 with us. Over five years that adds up to $800 on the agent alone. Delaware's $400 LLC tax for 2026 is separate in both cases.

Three differences worth knowing

The renewal

The agent is required every year for as long as the LLC exists. Ours renews at $99 and is the only thing we bill after the first year.

A bank application that doesn't wait on the IRS

When you sign your SS-4, the application for our partners is already complete, drawn from your order and carrying your Certificate of Formation. You approve it and we send it that day; the EIN follows. Our partners judge each application themselves, so we can't promise approval.

A single order behind every form

Your Delaware filing and your SS-4 come from the same checkout answers. We fax the signed SS-4, and the IRS usually responds with an EIN in two to eight weeks.

When Firstbase is the better fit

If you want your yearly 5472 and pro forma 1120 filed at a known price by the company that formed you, Firstbase has a clean offer at $899 a year. It's also the better choice for a C-corp, or if you'd use its mailroom and accounting products.

Delaware basics for either choice

  • Filing fee: $110 for a Certificate of Formation.
  • Annual obligation: the flat LLC tax, $400 for 2026, payable January 1 through June 1.
  • Missed payment: $200 penalty plus 1.5% monthly interest, and eventually loss of good standing.
  • Agent: must keep a Delaware office generally open during business hours.

Outside our package

We don't pay Delaware's tax for you or prepare federal returns. If your LLC owes Form 5472, a tax professional who handles non-US owners should prepare it, or Firstbase's filing product can.

Common questions

Is Firstbase's $99 price the whole cost?

No. Firstbase Start is $99 plus the state fee, and Firstbase says a registered agent is required for incorporation but isn't included in Start. Its agent service is $299 a year per state.

How do the Delaware totals compare?

Year one with Firstbase is $99 + $299 + $110 = $508. With the package it's $399 + $110 = $509. In year two, Firstbase's agent is $299 and ours is $99, so the gap is $200 each year from then on.

What does Firstbase offer that you don't?

A published tax product for non-US single-member LLCs at $899 a year, with Form 5472 and the pro forma 1120 included. Also mailroom plans from $35 a month, accounting, and C-corp formation.

Does the bank application have to wait for my EIN?

Not with the package. Your application for our partners is complete once you sign your SS-4, and we send it after you approve. Our partners decide whether to open an account.

Does Firstbase's agent fee cover Delaware's annual tax?

Firstbase lists annual reports and BOI within its agent product; its page doesn't say it pays Delaware's LLC tax. Delaware LLCs don't file annual reports. They pay a flat tax, $400 for 2026.

A $99 agent renewal, not $299
