The Bundle Is Good. The Renewal Is the Purchase.

Dependable registered agent service throughout Delaware — $99 annually. That fee covers the office address, scanning of legal correspondence, and reminders for state filings.

Delaware cityscape

We are not a neutral party and will not perform being one. Delaware Registered Agent.ai sells the Delaware appointment for $99 annually and wants the order. Everything below attributed to Bizee comes from Bizee's own published pricing, checked in July 2026; the interpretation is ours and should be read as advocacy.

Credit Where the Offer Earns It

Bizee, which operated as Incfile until its rebrand, packages free registered agent service with its LLC formation tiers for a period of three to twelve months depending on the tier selected. Formation buyers get a compulsory annual service at no cost for most or all of the first year. That is a straightforward saving with no asterisk we could identify, and on formation day it is a legitimate reason to buy there.

What the Bundle Postpones

The standalone price is $149 per year, and $149 is also what begins once the included months lapse.

The subtlety is in the timing rather than the amount. Because the free period ranges across a nine-month spread, the first paid invoice does not arrive on a date you would naturally anticipate. It arrives when a term you selected during a formation checkout finally runs out, which for most owners is well after the last time they thought about who their registered agent is.

Set against a rate that never changes, the comparison is arithmetic rather than argument.

Five hundred dollars over a decade is not the kind of number that changes a business. It is the kind that quietly leaves, which is a different problem.

A Delaware Duty Worth Delegating, and Its Limit

One function of a Delaware agent is easy to overlook when comparing rates. Delaware LLCs owe a flat annual tax, and the state allows that payment to be submitted by the entity's registered agent through the Division of Corporations' online system rather than by the owner directly. Agents in this market routinely handle it, which converts a date on your calendar into a task on somebody else's.

The limit is worth knowing precisely because the delegation is convenient. Settling the tax changes nothing in the state's record about your company. The registered agent named on file, the registered office address on file, the rest of the entity's particulars: none of it updates because a payment cleared. Those changes travel on their own certificates and carry their own fees. It is entirely possible for a company to be paid up, current, and still listing an agent it stopped using two years ago, which is exactly the situation that produces a summons delivered to the wrong party.

Our Position, Stated Plainly

Ninety-nine dollars annually, with an identical renewal every year the service runs, published where a prospective customer can read it without starting a checkout. Legal process arriving at our Delaware office is scanned and sent to you before the day is out. Reminders go ahead of Delaware's dates. Your address stays off the public filing and ours goes on it. No upgrade exists, for the simple reason that no higher tier was ever built.

Honesty about the bottom of the market: BetterLegal's $90 undercuts our $99. Among the lowest Delaware rates is the claim we will defend, and unlike a bundled month it reads the same on every renewal.

From Bizee to a New Delaware Registered Office

The state prices the move at $50. What you file with the Division of Corporations is an amendment whose caption is confined to a change of registered office or agent, and keeping the caption that narrow is what holds the fee at $50 instead of the $180 a general amendment would cost.

Practically, the constraint is that the certificate exists to name your incoming agent, so the incoming agent has to be engaged before the paperwork can be completed. Keep the old service alive until the Division's record names the new one, then close it. That ordering is the whole of the no-gap discipline: at no point does the public register show a Delaware company with no agent behind it. Our change of agent page covers the form, the fee and the confirmation step in detail.
