Four Charges a Year Look Like One

Dependable registered agent service throughout Delaware — $99 annually. That fee covers the office address, scanning of legal correspondence, and reminders for state filings.

Delaware cityscape

Stated at the top so it colors everything after it: Delaware Registered Agent.ai is a competitor of Swyft Filings and charges $99 a year for the Delaware appointment they also sell. The figures below are Swyft Filings' published pricing as we recorded it in July 2026. Verify them at the source before acting on anything here.

No Teaser, Which Is More Than Most Manage

Swyft Filings does not run an introductory rate on registered agent service. We looked for one and found none, which means the charge quoted at signup is the charge that continues. Plenty of vendors in this market do the opposite, advertising a low opening year and letting the renewal arrive twice as large, so a price that behaves consistently from the first invoice onward is worth naming as a virtue before anything else is said.

Now Read the Billing Period

The quoted figure is $149. The period attached to it is a quarter.

Four of those in a year annualizes to roughly $596. Nothing about the number is concealed, and Swyft Filings states the cycle plainly. The difficulty is comparative: every other Delaware provider we priced quotes annually, so a shopper scanning a list sees $149 next to $99, $125, $199 and $249 and slots it into the middle of the field. Annualized, it is the largest recurring cost we found anywhere in the Delaware market.

Billing detailSwyft FilingsDelaware Registered Agent.ai

Cost of twelve months~$596$99
Cost of five years~$2,980$495

There is a behavioral effect on top of the arithmetic. A single annual charge is large enough to notice and infrequent enough to review. A quarterly charge of moderate size becomes part of the background noise in a bank feed, and background noise does not get audited.

It helps to know what the underlying service costs a vendor to provide, because it explains why nobody can offer this for nothing and why the range between honest providers is narrower than the price sheet suggests.

Delaware does not accept a mailbox. The registered office has to be an actual location in the state, it has to be the agent's own place of business, and the state disqualifies any agent operating solely out of a virtual office or a mail-forwarding service. An entity serving as agent must keep a Delaware office that is generally open; an individual must be generally present at the designated address. Somebody has to be standing there when a process server walks through the door.

That is the floor cost of the role: leased Delaware space and staffed hours, not an address on a website. Every legitimate vendor in this comparison meets it, Swyft Filings included. What differs between them is the margin applied on top and the unit the invoice is written in.

Our Structure

One charge, $99, once per year, unchanged at renewal for the life of the service. Legal process reaching our Delaware office is imaged and forwarded the same day. Reminders arrive before the state's deadlines. Your address stays out of the public filing and ours takes its place. There is no premium tier and no membership attached.

Someone does print less than we do. BetterLegal shows $90 against our $99, which puts us among the lowest published Delaware prices rather than at the very bottom of them.

How a Delaware Company Files Its Way Off Swyft Filings

The state's fee for changing agents is $50, and getting that rate depends on how the filing is captioned.

The document goes to the Division of Corporations and must be captioned as an amendment changing only the registered office or agent. Kept that narrow, it costs $50. Written up instead as a general certificate of amendment, the same substantive change is assessed at $180. Delaware attaches no numbers to its forms, so there is no form code to check against; the heading is the whole of the identification, and reading it before submission is worth $130.

The sequence is equally load-bearing. Engage the successor agent first, because the certificate exists to name one and cannot be completed without it. Submit the certificate with the $50 fee. Leave the quarterly Swyft Filings billing in place until you have confirmed on the Division's public record that the new agent is listed, then cancel it and stop the cycle at the source. Never let the roles overlap in the wrong direction: an entity whose old agent has gone and whose new agent is not yet recorded has nobody authorized to accept a summons on its behalf, and Delaware does not suspend anyone's deadlines while that is being sorted out.
